TONIGHT THE WORLD BEGINS AGAIN
As the year comes to a close, what have we truly achieved this past year and what do we have still outstanding? Something to think about, if not muse about.
Tonight the world begins again...
Half of the year has already come and gone
Soon it'll be Christmas again
And another year will come to a close
Time isn't just fleeting
It ravages
And along with it,
It takes
All our cherished dreams
Our hopes of hopes
Our desires, our beliefs
All the things we wished we could have done
All the things we wished we could have said
But never did
So, we continue on our solitary guilty trips
And we tell ourselves Regrets have no place in our lives
And failure isn't an option
But why do we still feel that something is amiss?
Are we even living in the present moment?
I have only one wish for the remaining year
And that is
Everyone is forgiven and will be forgiven
Each of us will look beyond our own pain and flaws
And find that wounded friendship or relationship
Even that long abandoned dream
And start making amends
Every broken bridge can be re-built
Every dream can be fulfilled
Because everything we need lies in the palms of our hands
Our hopes can still be made into reality
Whether it's the little cafe you've always wanted to open
Or writing a children's book
And painting your masterpiece
Whatever it is
There is no time like now
How long do we want
To perpetuate
The cruelty and annihilation?
The fear and frustration?
As we dwell in our anger and confusion,
We choose to stay longer in our own misery
We can never feel complete until
WE consciously do something
Forgive every single person
Who has crossed you, hurt you and made you bleed
Forgive yourself
For the times you've let someone down
And especially for the times
You've let yourself down
As you let them all go
You will be free
Tonight the world begins again
And we are given a choice
What is lost can be redeemed
What is yet to be realised
Can finally materialize
As the wheel of time turns
We can choose not to cry or whine
WE can choose to embrace and celebrate
I wish that everyone is loved tonight
And every child is smiling bright
So take these words
And say out loud
For everyone is forgiven now
The world begins again tonight.
Have faith and stay positive.
You will be more than all right.
You will become who you have always aspired to be.
You will be whole again.
The Time IS NOW.
Tonight the world begins again...

that was beautiful. everyday is a new day to start your dreams. if you didn't do it yesterday, last week or last month, don't beat yourself. start now; yes, i agree.
i have lost something very important this year and that lesson has taught me to live harder, play harder and work harder.
i hope by writing it all down, you are releasing all your unhappiness. leave it here, and get on with your life. but i believe you are on your way to achieving that, if not already. :-)
Aww..thanks for your sweet words. See now, you are too kind with your praises for others and not for yourself. My sisters and I have been talking about how good you are with the camera. We are serious! Annie is the artistic one and she agrees you have a good eye with the camera. So, take her word for it if you won't take ours. You should really snap away and see what beauty you'd create too. WE all lose bits and pieces of ourselves in our journey, but it's not the end of our journey. The ending is yet to be written, yet to be lived out. Happiness and Joy to all!
dear cleo-jean: you guys are too kind too. my only talent lies in the purchase of a good camera. it does the job and i just press 'click'. give me a manual one and you will get 'artistically blurred' photos. hahaha! even with the wonderful camera, my photos are still crap considered to others that i have seen. still, i like beautiful things and the best way to hold on to them, if only for a second longer, is by taking photo. so, smile *click*
